James Earl Ray?

How can this article not mention what Frattare is probably best known for: his confusing of James Earl Ray with James Earl Jones on the day of Ray's death? HandsomeSam (talk) 05:24, 3 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Do you have any WP:RS that this happend? Even so, one slip up by a guy who did play-by-play for 30 years still doesn't sound that notable. blackngold29 21:55, 13 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

"Memorable gaffe

In 1998, Frattare mistakenly told listeners that James Earl Jones had passed away when, in fact, it was Martin Luther King Jr. assassin James Earl Ray who had died. Frattare became the answer to a Trivial Pursuit question: "What is the name of the announcer who misidentified the death of James Earl Ray?"" http://www.pittsburghlive.com/x/pittsburghtrib/sports/s_591193.html HandsomeSam57 (talk) 17:48, 3 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]
